A quick and simple way to get your children to smile is by making everyone their very own set of bunny ears. Simply cut a piece of white paper into a two inch thick strip. This strip will sit on top of your head, so measure as necessary and tape or staple to fit each person. To make the ears, cut out two large ears about eight inches long from the white paper. Next, grab some pink construction paper from your ware cart and cut out two slightly smaller ears and glue to the inside of the white ears. Once you have finished the ears all you have to do is glue them directly onto the head piece. What a quick and easy way to make something whimsical that everyone will enjoy.

Easter bunny cracker treats are a fun edible type craft. To get started, find your favorite round cracker and spread with a layer of cream cheese. Next, take a thinly sliced radish and cut out two white rabbit teeth and place on the cracker. To serve as whiskers, julienne a carrot and place them in the appropriate place on the bunny’s face. For the puffy cheeks, choose your favorite white cheese and cut circles out of it. Place the cheese on the cracker between the teeth and the whiskers. To make the pink nose, cut a triangle out of the skin of the radish and place just above the cheeks. The only ingredient you need now is a couple of pretzels. Take two pretzel sticks side by side and press them into the cream cheese at the top of the cracker to form an ear. Do the same thing for the other ear. To make the eyes you can simply use the tip of a pretzel stick or any other food you would like to eat. Now that your children have helped to make this delicious snack, they are more likely to eat it! Hopefully you will find that stepping out from behind your wheel throwing projects is well worth it.

We all have a creative side in us. For some it’s writing. For some it’s painting. For some it’s woodwork. Whatever your artistic talent is, you can nurture it by taking a class in it. There are some great things that taking a course can do for you, even if you already know basics.

Of course, the first great thing about taking a class in your favorite hobby is that you’ll learn to make new things. For instance, if you only know how to knit scarves, you can take a class and learn to make blankets, hats, socks and more. That gives you more great things to do in your spare time.

Of course, if you plan to sell your crafts, taking a class is also good because it provides you with some sort of credential. It also allows you to network and trade business cards or contact information with other craftsmen who aren’t in your trade.

For example, let’s say that you do upholstery and someone else who is in your class learning upholstery mentions that they actually make and upholster their own furniture. Well, you might have just found yourself a new business partner, or at least someone you can refer others to now and then. People who make things with their hands tend to be a very close group. Everyone appreciates a helping hand and everyone is always willing to give it. After all, many hands make light work.

Finally, when you take a crafting class, it’s just plain fun. You’ll enjoy learning new things, meeting new people and finding new ways to make your craft interesting. We all need a little more fun in our lives, so that’s definitely a great thing.
