Necessary Supplies and Equipment for Your Baby
When new parents are deciding on equipment and supplies for bringing the baby home, it may be a subject that needs more research than is usually undertaken. When you are ready to give birth, you might want to think about what you will need when you first bring a newborn into the home. Here are some things that should be available in the home when your infant arrives.
It is hard to have enough diapers. If you use disposables, they come in different sizes and babies have a way of outgrowing newborn diapers very quickly. To start the arrival home, plan on at least one week’s worth of disposable diapers. If you plan to use cloth diapers or a diaper service, you will need three to four dozen so that you can get through a week between washing or diaper service.
A sizable assortment of shirts and toppers will be helpful when baby spits up or drools on the clothing. Babies don’t adjust to temperature changes very well. You need to regulate the temperature by blankets and clothing rather than adjusting room temperature. Footed sleepers are handy for cooler locations.
